Light-controlled photochromic glass, also known as liquid crystal dimming glass, is a functional glass product with a laminated sandwich structure. A liquid crystal dimming film is placed between two layers of glass and bonded together through high-temperature and high-pressure processing.

By controlling the power supply, the transparency of the glass can be adjusted instantly:
Power ON:
The liquid crystal molecules align in an orderly manner, allowing light to pass through. The glass becomes clear and transparent.
Power OFF:
The liquid crystal molecules return to a disordered state. The glass turns opaque with a milky appearance, effectively blocking visibility while still allowing light transmission.
This type of glass is suitable for applications where privacy control and light transmission are both required, such as partitions, doors, windows and interior architectural spaces.
Key Features
- Switchable transparency controlled by power on/off
- Laminated structure with liquid crystal dimming film
- Opaque state provides privacy while maintaining light diffusion
- Smooth and stable transition between transparent and opaque states
