S997 Silicone Sealant is a single-component, neutral cure silicone sealant that cures upon exposure to ambient moisture, forming a durable and elastic rubber seal.
Its curing speed is influenced by temperature and humidity, with faster curing under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions.

Typical Applications

• Interior sealing of vehicle body joints

Application Instructions

• Clean the application surface thoroughly, removing oil, dust, coatings and contaminants.
• Ensure the surface is dry and free of condensation.
• For large joints, insert a backer rod. Mask joint edges with tape if necessary and remove the tape immediately after application.
• For porous or highly absorbent surfaces, apply a suitable primer before sealing.

Important Notes

• Due to variations in substrates and application conditions, pre-testing is recommended to confirm adhesion and curing performance before use.
• Use with caution on materials that may release plasticizers, oils or solvents, as migration may cause surface discoloration over time.
• Not suitable for continuous water immersion or permanently damp underground environments.
• Not recommended for copper substrates due to potential corrosion.
